Our audience research focused on Crafted Liberation’s impact. Our goal was to understand the emotional drivers behind support for this project. We identified two key personas:

  1. The Drivers: Primarily Iranian women living outside Iran, deeply connected to the Women, Life, Freedom movement.

These insights informed every aspect of our brand strategy, guiding the website and content creation to engage these audiences emotionally and effectively.

RK Collective: Branding and website for award-winning product design house

About

RK Collective is an award-winning, female-led product design and innovation studio, co-founded by Iranian-Australian designer Nila Rezaei and Christopher Krainer. Their practice focuses on creating meaningful products and experiences that deliver real social and environmental impact.

When RK Collective approached us, their goal was twofold:

  • Establish a clear brand and digital presence for RK Collective
  • Build a strong platform to launch their first project, Crafted Liberation

Our goal was to help RK Collective establish a clear brand foundation — communicating their services, vision and values with confidence, and setting them up for future growth and client opportunities.

Brand positioning & messaging

At the start, RK Collective and Crafted Liberation were split across different websites. We advised on consolidating them — presenting Crafted Liberation as a project under the RK Collective umbrella. This decision streamlined their story, helping clients and media clearly associate both brands and build credibility for future growth.

We worked closely with Nila and Chris to define their voice: bold, genuine and purpose-led. As Nila and Chris came up with their core tagline, 'Lead with Ethics. Design for Impact. Focus on Change', we focus on its expression across the website, ensuring every key section aligns with their vision.

Visual identity & website design

The RK Collective brand design embodies their ethos of “design for function and purpose, not decoration.” We created a minimal, modular visual style using neutral tones, clean typography and Swiss-style layouts. The design reflects their focus on good design, collaboration and sustainable innovation.

For Crafted Liberation, we introduced a complementary but distinct Persian-inspired colour palette — keeping a clear connection back to RK Collective’s core brand, while allowing the project to stand out as a signature initiative.

Website development, SEO & launch

We built a modular, mobile-responsive website in Webflow to showcase RK Collective’s practice and projects, adding smooth animations for a modern, approachable feel.

As there are quite a few practices of the same name, we embedded Nila Rezaei’s name across SEO titles and meta descriptions, ensuring that RK Collective could leverage her existing reputation. Within a week of launch, RK Collective appeared at the top of Google search results for brand-related keywords.

As part of the new website launch, we also configured Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO best practices to give the site a strong foundation for long-term growth.

  • Website traffic surged by over 400%, combining audiences from their previous sites and Crafted Liberation’s media exposure
  • Media features, social media virality and organic search drove strong early visibility
