Our audience research focused on Crafted Liberation’s impact. Our goal was to understand the emotional drivers behind support for this project. We identified two key personas:

  1. The Drivers: Primarily Iranian women living outside Iran, deeply connected to the Women, Life, Freedom movement.

These insights informed every aspect of our brand strategy, guiding the website and content creation to engage these audiences emotionally and effectively.

Basalt: Digital audit and ongoing advisory for long-term growth

Basalt Orange is a luxury accommodation in Orange NSW. Built on a working cherry orchard, the family-run business offers a unique blend of comfort, seclusion and breathtaking views across the region’s landscape. Since opening in 2023, Basalt has quickly become one of the most sought-after stays in regional NSW.

We’ve been supporting Basalt on an ongoing basis, providing strategic, data-led guidance across SEO, conversion rates, marketing channels and digital optimisation — helping them grow with clarity, confidence and a lean operating model.

SEO & website audit

When we began working with Basalt, their website had minimal keyword optimisation. We conducted a full SEO audit to assess the site’s structure, keyword rankings and overall search visibility.

We implemented core SEO improvements: optimising titles, meta descriptions and copywriting — within budget, brand design and existing technical setup. This work has seen organic visibility improved, with key pages climbing up to top 3 ranking for relevant keywords over a year.

Although not engaged for long-term SEO implementation, we ensured the foundations were set up for the Basalt team to continue growing their visibility through blogging, link building and media partnerships.

Conversion & traffic analysis

In 2025, with the goal to increase occupancy rate, we conducted a full review of Basalt’s website analytics to evaluate traffic patterns and conversion performance.

Key findings included:

  • A stable conversion rate
  • A slight drop in conversion rate in low season
  • A peak conversion rate in high season despite lower traffic

These insights helped us isolate issues, benchmark performance and advise strategies to reduce drop-off and strengthen year-round planning.

Consolidate the brand positioning, tone of voice & key messaging

Through analytics, we helped answer key marketing questions — from whether to invest in SEO, social media, influencers or Google Ads, to how to prioritise resources.

Designed to complement Basalt’s excellent work in media and brand partnerships, our advisory covered:

  • Conversion rate optimisation
  • Email list growth and nurturing
  • Paid media strategy

We also implemented tracking systems and performance dashboards, enabling the team to measure ROI and adjust strategies with confidence.

Project impact

Since implementation:

  • Organic search rankings improved significantly
  • Basalt gained clarity on where (and where not) to invest limited marketing budget
  • A strong foundation has been set for conversion optimisation, retargeting and future campaign planning
  • The team now has a clear roadmap and data-led strategy to grow bookings sustainably over the next 12 months
